I was thinking about buying an Acer computer because of the price. Other than that, I know nothing about them. I always thought that they were junk pc’s sold at walmart etc.. But I’m starting to hear good things about them now. Something like they bought out Gateway? Is this true? I just want to know if Acer is worth buying and if it’s worth giving a chance. Anybody know anything about them? Thanks

its an aspire 5536 acer.
it has a blu ray logo on it so it should play blu ray dvds right?
is there any software i need specifically for it because when i try to play it in windows media it says there is no disc inside and there is.
please help?

i don’t mind if it has low memory space because i usually keep my stuff on a usb

I am somewhat of a technophobe and recently purchased an Acer one 10 inch notebook, it has no CD drive and I want to install Microsoft Office which needs a CD Drive to install. I looked online at ebay and I found a CD Drive for $10, but in the shop they are more like $100. Will ANY CD drive work for me or do I need a specific one?

my ac adapter is broke and i need to buy a new one. i searched ebay and everything matches apart from something under the heading input. it says 2.5 A and mine is 1.5 A … what is this and does it make a difference? please help quick!

I would also like to know if anyone knows where I can find great deals on notebook packages, preferably newer models.
