Acer Aspire One Netbook for Sale

The plug on the AC adapter of my laptop is getting REALLY hot when I pull it out . . .?

By plug, I mean the silver, cylindrical piece on the end of the AC adapter that actually sticks into the computer. The last fw times I’ve pulled it out, I noticed that the silver part is VERY hot (enough to make your hand recoil right away).

Also, my computer seems to take longer for the battery to charge. It used to charge in 2-3 hours, and it’s been at least 50% longer recently.

What do you think the issue is?

It’s an Acer 5102 with a Turion chip that I got a year ago, if that helps at all.

dell inspiron mini 9 looks awesome unfortunately it has low memory
lenovo ideapad s10 has great memory but was said to have a short battery life
hp mininote 2133 is said to have lots of problems but it really does look good
asus eee and asus eee 1000h were okay i guess
acer aspire one short battery life as well

which should i choose? i need a mininote that has long battery life and okay memory…

I own two laptops, a regular sized DELL Laptop XPS, and a Mini Acer Aspire Notebook PC. I have de-assembled my DELL laptop completely to fix it, and learn about it. It is now working in good condition. However my mini acer aspire laptop isn’t really as fast as the DELL Laptop. I know these
types of PC’s were not meant for speed, but I wonder if I can make it speed up like the DELL, or maybe take some parts off the dell and put in the acer. I know it’s not the ram, and hardrive. Is it the
intel core processor? I may not know all of it, but I am still learning. My mini acer aspire has an “intel Atom”, 250 Hardrive GB, 2.0 MB of Ram. I like it also because it was first started with Windows 7 Starter, so I upgraded it to Professional… Anyways, is it possible to make these PC’s run faster and more capable of playing games better. Please don’t tell me to clean it, cleaning it would not solve

Acer Crystal Eye on my laptop…?

Okay, I have the Acer Crystal Eye on my Aspire 5532, but I can’t get it to work. I tried downloading the drivers from the Acer website, but that didn’t work. I tried contacting Acer, but that didn’t work either. I don’t have the manual because this laptop was a gift, and I never received any manual. I have Acer Arcade Deluxe, but it doesn’t have the DV Wizard. I’ve tried searching for the appropriate drivers and nothing worked. I’m not sure what to do…The intervu link that someone already sent me twice doesn’t work. And it’s not a camera you plug in, it’s actually part of the laptop. >:P

I’m currently using an Acer 7720 laptop which was purchased in December 2007. I want to begin my journey in playing high-end games at high graphical levels in my laptop like World In Conflict, Crysis, Gears of War and Bioshock since I will not be allowed to buy a new computer for some time, perhaps at late October. That is why I want to upgrade my laptop to high specs as to play the desired games smoothly in high graphics. I am going to be entering college next year and am going to need a new laptop. I’ve used mac’s at school and liked them…the Acer I have right now is so bad b/c it gets hot so easily and will just randomly shut off, even if all I’m doing is watching a video on youtube.

Anyway, I want to get a nice computer that will be an investment, i.e. I won’t be replacing it for a while. The highest Macbook w/ 4 gigs of memory is about $1580, while the cheapest Macbook pro w/ 4 gigs, the same processor, hard drive, superdrive, and accessory kit costs like $2025, significantly more. From what I have read, I understand the differences are a better graphics card, 2 inch larger screen, double scrolling thing, glossy screen, lit keyboard, and maybe more durably made (?)… The graphics card and screen seem to be the main points.

Another issue would be whether to wait for an update but I don’t want to chance that they won’t be updated until school starts.

Um, so I game a little right now, stuff like the original Halo and tf2, and I know there are programs and stuff you can use to get those things to play on macs, but then again, I wouldn’t be buying a mac if I wanted to play a lot of games in college. I don’t really do any serious video editing.

Originally I thought I was going to get a pro b/c basically I hate the computer I am writing on and have never felt like I’ve had a good enough computer simply to do schoolwork at times, which can understandably cause me to become agitated. The more I’ve been reading about it though, it seems like the Macbooks are basically the same thing except with an integrated graphics card, 2 inch smaller screen, and like $500 less. Oh, Apple’s website seems to indicate the pro’s have a slightly better battery.

Yeah…But I want to get 4 gigs of memory just so it won’t be slow…efficiency is important.

I have an Acer 3620 laptop and i need a new battery, also i need to know how much it would coast to have the cooling fan in it replaced because it doesn’t work any more, also it was knocked over before and the port where you plug the charger in got bent or broke where you have to pull it to the side and have something hold it there while it is plugged in for it to get connection to charge it now. How much separately would all of this coast to be fixed and purchased?
