i just bought a new acer aspire one and i made a wallpaper to put on my desktop and whenever i chose to make it my backround the backround never changes its just stays at the default wallpaper i am not too good at computers so help would be very kind

i have windows 7, and i have an acer aspire one mini laptop.
when i rightclick on pictures and choose: set as desktop background,
nothing happens. and when i go to the control panel where it says appearance,
theres nothing that says “change desktop background,” theres just
a “change screensaver.” I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A PRETTY PICTURE
IN THE BACKGROUND, NOT A BLANK WINDOWS LOGO.

Hi,
Just wanted to know whether it is possible to install the copy of windows vista home premium – SP1 to my desktop pc. I purchased a laptop( Acer AS 5735Z ) and Vista was already intalled. I have made the back-up dvds.
All, I want to know is whether I could install windows to my other pc: Its for home use only. Is there any other way ??

My Acer x1700 dektop computer no longer has access to its NVIDIA GeForce G100, whenever i try to play something, it goes through soething called Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. I would like to know if there is anything tha i can do besides pay Geek Squad to fix it.
I bought my computer from best buy (without insurance or whatever) and i decided that there were just WAAAAY too many things installed on it. So i used my laptop computer system recovery disc to boot it ti factory.
Unfortunatly, m original O.S was vista (64 bit? the one that lets you have 4 gigs of ram) and the one i recovered it was a 32 bit. So i called the factory and waited a week for the real system revory discs, and everythin i didnt want is installed on it again, and it wont let me use my nvidia cards??? Whats going on? My *uninstal or change programs* says i have my Nvidea drivers installed.
How do I set up a network between my desktop and my laptop computers?

I took pictures of all the cables (computer, monitor, speaker, printer, and mouse) before I moved, so I can put them together by myself. Now everything works except the speaker. It is plugged to the outlet, so I see green light on, but there is no sound even if the volume is turned up. The speaker is the original one which came with the computer. What can I do to hear sound again?

I just got home from a Garage sale and got a microphone desktop Verbatim and i have a Acer computer and just don’t know where to plug the connection into.It is not a USB cable port.

There’s no option on my right click to set a background. There’s no option on the entire computer that I can see. Windows Help (lolwut?) told me to go to control panel and search desktop background, but such an option does not exist according to the search. Also, whenever I click an image and tell it to be set as background, nothing happens.
This ugly blue background is killing me. Help?

my friend gave me thier acer and the inside parts and cables has been undone . they dont have the paperwork anymore and it’s been to long and they dont remember how they all came out. they bought a new one and wasnt worried about it. where can a person go to find how to guides on the motherboard to show how things go in?

I have a 2007 Acer desktop computer with windows vista home. It will not start on at all. I mean, the power is on and it will turn on but when i try to “start windows normally” it just restarts my computer. I tried to use the repair your computer button and did all I could to try and fix it. I also tried system restore it worked once but then a day later, i had the same problem. I tried system restore again but it said that it couldn’t restore because of some error. I also tried using the F8 button and tried everything in the screen to fix my computer but failed. is there anything else to do to fix my computer? I can’t get a new one or go visit a tech guy because i don’t have the money. and i’m typing this on my friend’s computer. please help? any suggestions will be very much appreciated.
