There are two modules one above and one beneath. The one beneath is easy to access but I cant figure out how to disassemble the top half of the notebook in order to access the other module.

Sales clerk said program would ask for product key. It didn’t, but went thru what looked like a loading process. I can’t find said program in “all programs” guide. Acer aspire computer came with Vista trial (still active). How do I know my new programs are installed? (word 2007, excel 2007, powerpoint 2007, & oneNote 2007).
Can I install Acer Arcade for my Aspire 5583 laptop? Where can I download the installer?

My Acer Aspire 5583 laptop has Windows Vista Home premium pre-installed. It also has Windows Media Center. When I read the manual, it says that selected models have Acer Arcade. Apparently, mine doesn’t have it. I already tried getting installer downloads at the Acer site but what I usually find is “Acer Arcade upgrade patch”. Is this the installer? or does it mean that it is assumed that I already had Acer Arcade then upgraded to Vista than need an upgrade patch?

I bought a Acer Aspire One with NO DVD/CD-ROM. It’s have only USB hubs and SD-Micro M2(1 place). I tryied to put windows on these memory stick for boot but it’s not worked. It’s have Windows XP Home Edition Inbuild system. but I don’t have any windows right now. Please help me fast. Thanks

tryed to use a USB cable to connect them both but it still wouldn’t work because i have to install the software by disk but i can’t do that either. —it’s an HP Photosmart c4400 series printer and scanner.

I’m trying to help a friend install a new copy of XP. His Acer notebook comes installed with Vista. I want to make his computer a dual-boot system, or at worst, remove Vista, reformat the whole hard drive and start anew. The problem is that when I boot with the XP installation disk the notebook’s hard drive is hidden. So XP installation reports there is no hard drive. If i use BartPE to boot, the notebook’s hard drive is also hidden. There must be something in the BIOS that hides the hard disk if you boot from CD-Rom or anything else other than the hard disk. But I can’t find it. I’ve experimented with the boot sequence but it makes no difference. How do I make the hard disk visible so that I can install XP? Thanks.
Tks Python. But the bios is already set to IDE0. And there is no HDD configuration option. There is no mention of choosing SATA or IDE anywhere in the bios configuration pages.

What I’ve been trying to do is turn my french computer into an english one by reformatting it. But everytime I reformat, it never comes with internet. So I have no choice but to keep it in french. I bought a notebook Acer Extensa 5620, it came with Windows Vista.I would like to install the XP in it,but i could not install it, and the screen showed: “Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is corredt. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program”. Please tell me how do install the windows xp in it. Thanks for help!
