Hi, I really want to get one of the mini notebooks I’ve seen around lately but can’t decide between these too. I really don’t have much money to spend since I’ll be paying for it myself, so I definitely want the better deal. (I love macs, but price and portability killed the Macbook idea)
I looked at the Dell mini 10 and the 10v and I think I prefer the 10’s specs. I MUCH prefer the Dell’s looks, but that’s obviously not the most important thing. I’ll mainly be using it for writing papers, skype, internet surfing/email, photo editing, and watching DVD’s (I know I’ll need an external player for that.) Here are the specs…most of this is gibberish to me!
The Acer’s specs are:

I’d just really love the help of someone a bit more PC literate, and maybe something like a brief explanation of why I should get one over the other. Also, I’ve never really used Windows 7, and have heard the starter edition can do next to nothing :/ also I love a customizable computer, because somewhere I also heard you can’t change the Windows 7 starter edition’s background. Is that true??!
Thanks!
