theres a crackeling sound coming from my speakers when i try to play anything, even when i plug in headphones cuz i thought the speakers might be blown. is there a driver or something that i can download to fix the problem?

Hey..umm..i don’t know how to explain this but i’ll try my best…i have an external hd of 60GB and i want to connect it to my desktop..its the new acer aspire mini desktop..okay earlier i connected it and it was working fine…but suddenly for some reason now when i connect it the power just shuts off..i thought it may be a problem with the hd but i tried it on my laptop and it works fine….and then i tried it again on the desktop and the minute the usb cable goes in and the power goes off…is there a problem with the pc? or is it the fact that i already have a 250gb hd in there and now it cant hold any more extra power for another big hd cuz i tried connecting my 2gb pendrive and it doesnt do any harm…just the 60Gb one…anyone with any theory about the problem or possible solutions?
ACER TravelMate 2424 Display Problem?

Hi,
Mine is an Acer TravelMate2424 notebook, which is just abt 4 months old,256mb 400mhz RAM,Intel 910 chipste,40GB hard disk,Win Xp SP2,14.1 screen.While booting, the display is shrunk.That is, full screen isn’t displayed,instead, just a small part of the screen is utilised for display.This is rectified as soon as the Windows LOGON prompt appears.The display is restored to full screen then.Also, I’m not able to change the amount of Video Ram alottment,which I previously was able to.Please suggest a possible fix for this as soon as possible as I can give it for repair if its a hardware fault.Thank you!!!!
Can a problem with a laptop cause an AC adapter to short out?

I have an Acer Aspire Series 5000 laptop, and it works fine, except one day the AC adapter suddenly stopped working. There didn’t seem to be any external damage I could see, but it wouldn’t charge the laptop and the light on the power brick wouldn’t come on. Eventually I just decided to buy a universal adapter, so I found one matching my voltage and it worked fine for a few days before suddenly having the same problem as the old one. Could there be something wrong with the computer that is causing this, or is it just a coincidence? And is there any way to fix the adapter so I don’t have to buy another one?

I have a 2007 Acer desktop computer with windows vista home. It will not start on at all. I mean, the power is on and it will turn on but when i try to “start windows normally” it just restarts my computer. I tried to use the repair your computer button and did all I could to try and fix it. I also tried system restore it worked once but then a day later, i had the same problem. I tried system restore again but it said that it couldn’t restore because of some error. I also tried using the F8 button and tried everything in the screen to fix my computer but failed. is there anything else to do to fix my computer? I can’t get a new one or go visit a tech guy because i don’t have the money. and i’m typing this on my friend’s computer. please help? any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Sometimes, not all the time, when I use any program on my computer or the internet I have an issue with sound. If I click on something that should give me a click sound t will actually stutter and give me a clicking sound. If I click on something that should give me a ding sound it will actually give me a dinging sound. It is like the sound is stuttering. I have tried uninstalling the sound driver and reinstalled it and that did not help. I DO NOT want to try to backup my system and restore it to original state, as I use it for my business and don’t want to chance losing anything. Please only answer if you have experience with this kind of problem or with computers. I have an Acer Laptop 5810TZ, ad so far Acer.com has been no help.

I have the exact same deal for the same price for Sony also. Only difference is the hard drive space. For sony – its 120 GB hard drive as verse to 160 GB for Gateway.

I tried to format my Travelmate C110 using recovery CD provided. Right at the start, it kept saying something like ” not enough memory, remove some drivers from your config.sys” ???? It doesn’t make sense since I booted from the CD. Please help. Thank’s

water on my boyfriend’s sister’s laptop keyboard about 2 weeks ago & in the last couple of days it is now hard for them to type. Do they have to take it to repair shop to get it fixed? I have an Acer Travelmate 5520 Laptop and I have Windows seven, My current Bios verion is 1.14 and I would like to Update to 1.17 (the latest) I downloaded the update and when I try to run the .exe in the ATI folder, It gives the the error “Open Flash.sys fail” I Tried running as admin and same problem, I really need to update my bios, Please help if you think you may have a solution, Thank you!!!
