Hello,i have accer 5050 series notebook,vista home premium,it takeing somuch time to shutdown and booting,and in event viewer ,it is displaying as critical error messages,iam unable to find suitable solution from microsoft ,any one help plzz..

My friends acer travelmate 4100 does not show any display at boot up but the light stays green till shutdown.?

Aside from the green light coming up and staying on when the start-up button is pressed, there are no other signs that the notebook is functional. No other signs or prompts show. What could be the problem and many thanks.
