I would still probably use it, just for net access and for company, but I’m really struggling to afford a new mp3 player, not even close to getting enough for a new comp!
However, I kinda need one and was just wondering. I would give nearly anything to get this computer at that price! and yeah, i was considering the Acer over the Compaq, because it has the memory power and IS cheaper. (=

How much would this hardware stuff coast for my Acer laptop?
I have an Acer 3620 laptop and i need a new battery, also i need to know how much it would coast to have the cooling fan in it replaced because it doesn’t work any more, also it was knocked over before and the port where you plug the charger in got bent or broke where you have to pull it to the side and have something hold it there while it is plugged in for it to get connection to charge it now. How much separately would all of this coast to be fixed and purchased?

So my old PC crashed-hard… I took it to our local tech guy and he told my best option would be to buy one, from him of course. We talked about an Intel Quad Core Acer with all the other goodies for around $1200. I put $800 down and he let me know that he would order it as soon as the credit card was processed. After 8 days I called (again) to see if I could pick it up-yup it’s here so I rush down to pick it up 30 minutes before they close and it’s a Gateway with an AMD processor? He assured me that they were sold out of the model I had ordered and sent a better model in it’s place, skeptical but desperate to get my office work caught up I took it home. I takes several minutes just to start up! Internet Explorer hangs up constantly! I was starting to understand that I had been taken advantage of so I look at the model# type it in my old computer and Best Buy has one for sale for $679! I was sick to my stomach all night for being so stupid!!! But can I get my money back after I have installed my printer drivers, peachtree accounting, ect. The receipt says no cash returns after 7 days, does that mean 7 days from when I ordered it or picked it up? Any help would be great, I can’t call them until they open Monday

The model# is DX4300-01 and yes I did pay him a down payment to order it but I ordered an Intel Quad not an AMD
After all of the updates and 2 reboots it still took forever to start and made a few bad noises during startup (2 beeps and some other grunts) He promised good quality that’s why I ordered one, not an out of the box Best Buy special that I could pick up myself. Oh and by the way there was no box for the computer just wrapped in plastic?
