i turned on the laptop, then a message came up “no bootable device- insert boot disk and press any key”, on a black screen. so i just turned it off. after a while, i turned on the laptop again and it worked fine. so i turned it off. later on i turn it on again but this time the touchpad doesn’t work. the right and left click button don’t work either. so i went and messed around with the settings and nothing worked. so i uninstalled the Synaptics touchpad software. i went to the website and installed it again, but still didn’t work. so i did system restore, twice and still the touchpad doesn’t work. what the hell is wrong with it?

It’s zooming in and out and I don’t know if there’s a setting somewhere that will make it stop doing this. I’m considering returning this if I can’t find a solution. Thanks for your help.

I just purchased a new Acer One 10.1″ netbook and when I turned it on it created a selection box on my desktop (when you click and drag the mouse over multiple icons) but I cant left-click on anything. do you have any ideas of what could be wrong?

The left click button on my Acer Aspire One running XP isn’t working. Using the touchpad to left click isn’t work either. It still scrolls and the right click is working. I have already tried reinstalling the driver and the touchpad isn’t locked with Fn-F7. Any other suggestions on how to fix this?
